Christoph Bartusek was born in Rheinberg in 1975 and grew up on the left Lower Rhine. He studied German language and literature at the University of Essen as well as teaching music (Sec II / I) and Catholic church music at the Folkwang University in Essen.His teachers in organ were Prof. Sieglinde Ahrens, Hans-Eberhard Ross and Frank Volke. He was trained by Prof. Guido Knüsel and Prof. Ralf Otto in the subjects of choral conducting and orchestral conducting (graduation with top marks). Further studies and master classes led him to Prof. Edgar Krapp (Munich), Prof. Thierry Mechler (Lyon / Cologne), Prof. Günther Kaunzinger (Würzburg), Prof. Philipe Lefebvre (Paris), Prof. Harald Vogel (Bunde / Bremen) ) and Ansgar Wallenhorst (Ratingen).
The first professional stations were Duisburg and Dinslaken, where he designed and performed his first concert series at St. Jakobus at the age of 21. Later he was called as a church musician at St. Paulus in Recklinghausen to the listed Breil organ from 1930 (today with 71 registers on five manuals and pedals). There he participated annually in the Recklinghausen organ days. From 2006, he studied theology in Münster, where he also worked on the cathedral music there. In 2012 he returned to his place of birth in Rheinberg as a church musician at St. Peter and has been responsible for the music of the church, which consists of six churches, as the coordinating church musician since 2018. In addition to the extensive choral work, he oversees the concert series "Rheinberger Abendmusik" (www.rheinberger-abendmusik.de) as artistic director. Compositional work and activities as an arranger round off his work. Concerts have taken him to the Maxkirche (Düsseldorf), the Waldsassen basilica, the cathedral in Münster, the Kleve collegiate church, the Zwillbrock baroque church and the Steinfeld basilica.

Concerts led him amongst others to the Max Church (Dusseldorf), the Basilica Waldsassen, the Cathedral in Münster, Stiftskirche Kleve, Barockkirche Zwillbrock and the Basilica Steinfeld.
